What a week!! After returning home from a week in Miami of recording studio session work and visiting with my adoring family, I returned to our Decatur facility to begin wrapping up the final editing of our new website. What a great job done by my right hand woman Millicent St. Claire and my left hand sidekick Brittney LaMotte in creating the perfect site for keeping ADMIT Program fans and clients updated, and marketing our services to new clients! Today, Thursday September 21st is the launch date!
We also met yesterday with renown comic Larry Veal to discuss partnership opportunities to provide services to schools through 3 combined programs. Great potential. We also had a visit from a brother who has a musical group consisting of his 10-year old triplets (2 girls and a boy) who each play 6 instruments, write their own songs, sing, rap and dance. He wants me to help manage them and record them, and of course they will also record a non-violence song next week for the Partners For Peace project. What a great opportunity for us all!
We also have a P4P project recording session lined up for this Saturday with the Jonesboro, GA organization Ladies of Favor headed up by Ms. Gabrielle Starr. I am looking forward to working with this group that focuses on "creative intervention" through the arts. Sounds familiar?
We are still trying to get the musical input on our project from the extremely talented dance, drama and vocal group Youth Ensemble of Atlanta (YEA). Their leader Mr. Debi Barber met with her group recently to see if they could participate. Keep hope alive!!!
We have 19 songs (and counting) ready for the CD release project and anticipate releasing a double CD this year with plenty of local celebrity shout-outs on it. It's all about getting message of nonviolence out there through our youth to let them help make a difference in their world. There is still a little time left for interested organizations to get involved by bringing their groups to 10 to 15 kids to our studio to spend 3 hours writing and recording their nonviolence song for the CD at no cost. 20,000 copies of the CD will be given to youth and media outlets. Thanks for your support and for passing this information to others!!!
